Well, we've arrived. We left New York Wednesday September 18th at 10 am and arrived in Hong Kong just about a day later. The flight was great! We flew Cathay Pacific and really enjoyed the food and entertainment onboard. I watched four movies - Sex and the City (woo hoo!), Recount (about the 2000 presidential election - pretty interesting), Music and Lyrics (Pop goes my heart!) and finally Somethings Gotta Give. I think I spent the rest of the time eating and tried to sleep for maybe two hours.
Clearing customs was suprisingly easy. We then made our way to the subway and were in the middle of the city within a half an hour! They do something really cool in Hong Hong, which is that you are able to check into your flight in the subway station! Many of the airlines have booths set up so you can come at the beginning of the day, check your bag, and then just head straight to the airport after work and hop on your plane. This will make our travels pretty easy!
