Shopping

Hong Kong is clearly the shopping capital of the world. We walked around for hours today exploring the city and walked through no fewer than 6 malls. And we bumped into IKEA! That was fun... but unfortunately they didnt have the yummy Swedish meatballs.

In addition to all of the shopping, there are also restaurants everywhere. Some local places and some familiar to us from home such as Outback Steakhouse. Today we stumbled across a local place that we are just going to have to try. Mmmm... feet! Doesnt it just sound so appetizing?

In case you can't read it.. its the Giant Foot Restaurant!

And Lastly... we found a place that sells baked potatoes filled with baked beans and hot dogs. It may be the world's perfect food.

You may be thinking.. why are they eating baked potatoes and Outback Steaks in China? We tried a traditional dim sum lunch the other day and every single dish contained pork or shellfish. So until we learn our way around the menu we are going to have to stick to the Western fare. :-)

Beans, hotdogs, and potatoes? Weird!

Yeah, (un?)fortunately all Chinese food is essentially made with pork and shrimp paste. Even "vegetarian" meals.

But, you know, if anything should be unkosher, it's a baked potato with beans and hot dogs! :)

Hope you guys had a nice Rosh Hoshanah!
