Our "plan" for the night of the 25th was to met for dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant after work to celebrate. That day I was finished with work around 1 pm. Daniel asked if I wanted to meet him in Central (where he works) for lunch on my way home. When I called him that afternoon to let him know I was on my way, he asked me to hang around inside the MTR station and he would meet me there because the place we were going for lunch was a couple MTR stops away. I was a bit surprised because there are so many restaurants in Central but I figured his coworkers recommended a place. When he showed up to meet me with his briefcase packed with stuff, then I knew something was up. :-) Of course he wouldn't tell me what he had planned and he led me all over the MTR system to throw me off the trail. Whatever it was, I knew he was most likely not going back to work for the rest of the day and was so excited he had planned something fun for us!

Then old favorites Buzz Lightyear and Winnie the Pooh..

The surprise did not end there. Daniel also booked dinner for us at the Disneyland Hotel. It was an amazing buffet and the Disney characters even joined us for dinner. The food was incredible and we stuffed ourselves.
After dinner we went back to the park to watch the fireworks before heading home. At least I thought we were heading home. After the fireworks, Daniel suggested we take a detour to check out the gardens behind the park and closer to the hotel. After wandering by the garden he led me to the hotel to "take their shuttle back the MTR station" and I followed right along. When we arrived he told me he booked us a room in the hotel for the night. He really is full of surprises! It was a wonderful day. The best part was that we were able to spend it together.
After leading us around on a lovely MTR tour, we arrived at the Sunny Bay station. I thought we were going back to Discovery Bay because that is the station where we connect to the bus to get home. However, Sunny Bay station also connects to Disneyland!! Daniel presented me with season passes to Disneyland. We were going to spend the rest of the day there together (and had the pass until May 2010 to go when we want)!
Since we've been to the park before we decided we'd try to explore rides and attractions we haven't seen yet plus hit up our favorites. First up, we explored Mickey's House which was new to us..
Then old favorites Buzz Lightyear and Winnie the Pooh..
Now, little did Daniel know that I had an anniversary surprise of my own planned for Saturday (luckily not the same night he had his surprise planned)! Stay tuned...
