Hong Kong Valentine!

Happy Valentine's Day! Our Valentine's Day plans were a complete surprise to me which was so much fun. Daniel just told me to keep Saturday night open and I spent the whole day Saturday trying to figure out what he was up to.  He is very very good at keeping a secret though and he wouldn't even give any hints!
Maybe this picture will help you figure out where he took me...

It may look like Halloween instead of Valentine's Day but Daniel took me to a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kowloon! When I walked in and saw the sign I was so excited! It was very strange because earlier in the week our temple had sent out a flyer about an upcoming Murder Mystery dinner and I forwarded it to Daniel saying it was something I'd love to do. He already had this booked. He is good! We were joined at the dinner by our friends Christine and Garland and some of their friends.

From the beginning of the evening, the cast of the show was mingling with the crowd and trying to give us clues regarding the upcoming murder. One of the stars of the show was Miles Pennypincher.  When they started calling on people in the audience Daniel prepared for his moment in the spotlight by coming up with a clever name. Can you guess what it is?

....wait for it....

Kilometer Quarterfrugal. Check out his moment in the spotlight. The audience found him very amusing as he told everyone he thought the murder victim has killed himself.

There was a guy in the audience that became Daniel's biggest fan after this. He came over to ask him how to spell his name so he could write him in as the murderer. It was hilarious. It turns out none of us guessed who the murderer was, but we had a great time and so many laughs during the show.

It was a wonderful Valentine's Day - our first as husband and wife. I'm so thrilled to be Mrs. Quarterfrugal! :-)
